Julie Mehretu at MCA Australia

A major survey of works by Julie Mehretu opens at the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia (MCA) this November. Titled ‘Julie Mehretu: A Transcore of the Radical Imaginatory’, this is the first solo show dedicated to the artist in Australia and the Asia-Pacific region.

The exhibition focuses on new and recent works by Mehretu, including large and medium scale paintings, alongside works on paper dating from the mid-1990s to the present day. Curated by Suzanne Cotter and Jane Devery, ‘Julie Mehretu: A Transcore of the Radical Imaginatory’ is part of the Sydney International Art Series 2024–25.
